That’s why we’re particular fans of furniture designer Christian Sjöström, who thinks about everyday objects in particularly innovative ways. We’ve featured his playful skull-shaped ashtray before. This time our new favourite design is a bit more universal: the humble chair CAMOU. Comfort was key for Christian in his design, taking inspiration from horseback riding. The most ingenious thing about this chair is that the sitter is in complete control and can manipulate the design to different seated positions. CAMOU, which took him three months to develop, looks like a sculpture in itself, made out of a steel tube and transparent black meshing so it is both versatile and eye-catching.
