HomePhotographyCanadian Nature Splendid North-American Mountaintops Captured by Morgan Philips When outdoor clothing and sporting brand, Arc’teryx, and tourism boards, Explore Canada, and Alberta contacted photographer Morgan Phillips about the opportunity to shoot in Canada, Morgan told us of his reaction, ‘I couldn’t say no!’ His dreams of shooting Alberta, Canada were finally coming true, and now it was time to face the hard part: working in freezing weather conditions. However, there is nonetheless a certain warmth that radiates in his photography, as he delicately captured the sun rising above the snow-covered mountains, and even managed to get a candid deer shot. ‘The trip was breathtaking,’ Morgan told us. We had to find out more: The Plus: What did you enjoy most about the trip? Morgan Phillips: I think my favourite part was the helicopter tour. TP: How would you describe your photography style? MP: I consider myself as an environmental portrait photographer; my favourite shots are epic landscapes with people in them. TP: What other countries would you like to visit and photograph? MP: New Zealand is on the top of my list. I also want to visit Africa and do some journalistic work. TP: Any upcoming projects? MP: I am currently in Seattle shooting the PNW (Pacific Northwest, ed.). I love this part of the United States. I am excited to show the world what I see!
