All I’m Saying: Péter Vácz

Stunning Stop Motion of Love and Loss for James’ Latest Track

After hearing the emotional All I’m Saying track by band, James, director, Péter Vacz’ intent was to create something ‘darker and less cute’. With handcrafted objects and puppets, he told the story of a man (fox), who goes on a quest to find the spirit of a woman to whom he could never say goodbye.

The video, partly inspired by The Shins’ – The Rifle’s Spiral music video, saw the fox character situated mostly in front of dark, neutral backgrounds, eliminating the need for building complex, time consuming sets. Shooting the ‘falling’ scene, Péter used Dragonframe and a Canon 60D camera, with two Carl Zeiss flektogon lenses.
