HomePhotographyNot About Death Using Superman, Wonder Woman and Snow White to Explore Ideas of Age, Life, Death and Collective Memory In a world that barrages us with constant flow of images and ideas- through media, cartoons, comics and childhood fictional characters, it has been near impossible to avoid certain values and beliefs that have being incorporated into the collective memory. Ideas of omnipotence, beauty, physical and supernatural powers, and stories always having a happy ending. Romina Ressia’s photographic project combines the fairytale identities of our childhood, with some of the harsh realities of real life- age and death. The project features Virginia Lopez, Nestor Gallo and Cornelia Farias, as Wonder Woman, Super Man and Snow White respectively.
